01How does coordination across the project's various fronts work?+
The firm acts as the investor's single point of contact and articulates the legal, corporate, tax, customs, foreign-exchange and foreign-trade fronts. We work with the investor's own trusted network and with the partners already accompanying them, adding ours to theirs, so the client has a single view of the whole without losing the professionals they trust.
02Can the company be entirely foreign-owned, with no Brazilian partner?+
As a rule, yes. A Brazilian company may be fully foreign-owned in most sectors, except activities subject to specific legal restrictions. Shareholders domiciled abroad must observe the rules on representation in Brazil, usually through a power of attorney, which the firm can also arrange.
03Can the investor and the team obtain residence in Brazil?+
Yes, when the project involves people coming over. There are residence routes for the investor, extended to the family, and work authorizations for executives and professionals, subject to the legal ratio between Brazilians and foreigners. Not every project requires it; some operations are conducted without the investor needing to move to Brazil.
04How long does it take for the operation to be up and running?+
The stage that weighs most on the timeline is the entry and registration of capital from abroad, which depends on the investor and the banks. With the company incorporated and the capital registered, the operation is fit to run within weeks. Residence authorizations, when needed, run in parallel and do not hold up the business.
